Vintage Wine Cellar (Mike): "Aged for two years in cask, the 2008 Carrascal is a blended wine. It has a rustic blackberry, scorched earth and leather-scented bouquet with touches of pressed flowers. The palate is well-balanced with crisp tannins, expressive black tarry fruit and a Bordeuaz-like finish. Drink now-2016"
My Review: This red wine was overwhelmingly powerful in both smell and taste wise. It smelled like rubbing alcohol and blackberry which really turned me off of this wine before I even tasted it. This blended wine tasted like potent blackberry and had a very hot finish. The wine had a steely texture and really was not very good. I would NOT recommend this wine!
